Our Company

Bishop Realty & Auction, LLC was established in 1978 and opened under the name of David Bishop Realty. Chris joined his father in the family business in 1998 as a Realtor & Auctioneer. In 2008 the company name was changed to Bishop Realty & Auction, LLC and Chris assumed the duties of managing the day to day operations of the Company.

“Bishop Realty” was founded on the principles of hard work, honesty, and putting the customer first in every transaction. It is our belief that if you apply these ideas in all that you do then everything else will take care of itself. Our Company is family of Realtors working toward the goals of doing what’s best for our customers and their families. David Bishop

David is a lifelong resident of the Bloomfield area and began his real estate career in 1976. In 1978 he opened his own company under the name of David Bishop Realty & Auction Company. In 2008 the named was changed to Bishop Realty & Auction, LLC. David is a graduate of St. Michaels Grade School, Bloomfield High School and Western Ky. University with a Bachelors Degree in Business. As a member of U.S. Army National Guard Unit in Bardstown, Ky. he served in the Vietnam War in 1968-1969. For over 25 years he was the Tobacco Auctioneer for the local market in Bloomfield, Ky. selling from 6 to 10 million lbs. of tobacco each year.

Chris began his Real Estate career in 1996. He is a graduate of Weikel Real Estate School and the Missouri Auction School and currently handles the day to day operations at Bishop Realty & Auction, LLC. Prior to the real estate business he worked as a surveyor and specializes in farm & land divisions. He has been able to utilize his background in the surveying business and his love for the outdoors when working with landowners in marketing their farms and recreational properties.

Chris enjoys the Auction business and handles the majority of the Auctioneering of Personal Property for Bishop Realty & Auction, LLC.

Brent has been a licensed Realtor & Auctioneer since 2011 and is a valued member of our Auction Staff. He works with both buyers and sellers and specializes in the sale of residential Real Estate. Brent graduated from Nelson County High School and is a lifelong resident of the Bloomfield area.
